Wonderful necklace from the 1984 Collection showing the influence of Renaissance and Byzantian styles on the House of Chanel. This necklace truly looks as if it could have adorned the neck of a 16th Century beauty! It has a brass chain made from round and oval links, and has a magnificent draped four strand faux pearl frontage. Connecting these two parts are on each side a round medallion in patterned brass and holding four raised red cabs plus a central faux pearl. Truly beautiful!
Total length of necklace measured along the shortest pearl strand is 25.5" (65cms), pearl drop at front measures 4" and each medallion is 1.4" across.
Signed and dated on round plaque on reverse of one of medallions. From 1984.
This truly rare necklace is in excellent condition.
