This stunning and rare bracelet was designed by John Galliano for his Pocohontas Collection of Autumn/Winter 1998/9. It has nine strands of wooden beads, each strand identical and containing four long beads in a muted blue wash interspersed with small round beads in a range of muted reds, yellow, greens and black. This is all held together by a heavy antiqued silvertone clasp decorated with arrowheads and a beading pattern. Galliano included similar neckpieces in the same collection.
The Dior bracelet has a signed hangtag with the Christian Dior Boutique name. From the Autumn/Winter 1998/9 Collection.
The depth of bracelet is 2.2" (5.4cms), with a total length 7.5" (19cms).
There is a small mark on one of the long beads but this is beneath the finish on the bead so has been there since the bracelet's creation, so part of its story.
This little piece of Galliano history is in excellent condition.
