This is a truly exceptional and rare vintage Chanel necklace with an unusual combination of glass beads and a goldtone cross. The beads are colourless quasi round gripoix glass and are chain linked.
The cross is inspired by medieval designs and is decorated with a lattice-work central panel as well as numerous etching marks. The cross is attached to the chain-linked beads by a hinged bail and three large rings.
Finally the necklace is closed with the famous Chanel huge spring ring clasp.
The necklace is signed and dated on a plaque on one of the rings above the bail. From Spring/Summer 1994 (94P).
Measurements
Total length of the necklace is 32" (81cms) and the cross measures 2.75" (7cms) long excluding the bail and is 1.5" wide (4cms).
