This rare, iconic and highly sought-after necklace by Yves Saint Laurent is a marvel - it has 'coral' branches hanging from a coral chain. Each branch is made from enamelled metal with a textured finish to resemble coral, and is dotted with small clear rhinestones to add that underwater sparkle! Designed for YSL by Robert Goossens. As worn on the December 1978 Haute Couture Runway.
Total length of necklace is 18.5" (47cms), with a 3.5" chain extension so the necklace length can be varied. Longest coral branch measures just over 2" in length (5cms).
Signed hangtag and signature S-shaped hook. From 1978.
