Fashionably large, stunning earrings from Chanel. The centre is black lucite, and they are edged with a goldtone rope effect. At the centre is a goldtone hexagon which comes to a point to add to the three-dimensional look of the earrings.
The photograph is from Paris Match in 1984 showing Ines de la Fressange wearing the earrings while posing in Chanel's apartment at The Ritz, Paris. Truly a little piece of history.
The earrings are unsigned. They date from 1984.
The earrings measure 1.75" across (4.5cms).
There are slight signs of wear to the goldtone parts, and the backs of the earrings show wear due to being worn, but generally these stand-out earrings are in great vintage condition.
